The German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB) and The Nature Conservancy launched a project entitled Climate Resilient Eastern Caribbean Marine Managed Areas Network.

This project aims to promote effective marine managed areas in 6 countries of the insular Caribbean : Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia and St Vincent and the Grenadines. UNEP Caribbean Environment Programme (CEP), Secretariat of the SPAW Protocol of the Cartagena Convention, through its Regional Activity Center (SPAW-RAC) and the Caribbean Marine Protected Area Management Network and Forum (CaMPAM) is in charge of one component of the ECMMAN project, using one of CaMPAM major tools: the Small Grant Program.
